what is heliotropy?

We believe humans are motivated by the power of heliotropy.

We will grow taller, faster and stronger when motivated by light, warmth and positivity, rather than fear and despair.

Helio -  a combining form meaning “sun,”  originating from the Greek hḗlios
-tropy -  the state of turning in a specified way from a specified stimulus, originating from the Greek tropos "a turn, change"

Heliotropy is a phenomenon in nature where certain plants (or parts, like sunflowers) grow in response to the stimulus of sunlight, so that they turn to face the sun. This is not about ignoring the urgent and deeply entrenched problems facing our world - but about acknowledging them, and setting a positive trajectory to create solutions, together.

Corporate Impact (Ad)Venturing

We are re-imaging corporate capital. How can corporate capital be used to do more good in the world? What partnerships are needed between the private, public and social sectors to accelerate positive social and environmental impacts?

We are focused on creating the necessary conditions where courageous corporations can collaborate on projects that increase the supply of backable deals and supercharge their routes to market and scale — all while creating positive outcomes for those who need it most.
